Guterres receives Al-Burhan in New York

President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan met with UN Secretary General António Guterres after his visit to New York to participate in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

He expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Secretary-General and his personal interest in the situation in Sudan, praising the humanitarian role played by the United Nations in light of the current circumstances facing the Sudanese people as a result of crimes, stressing the Sudanese government’s readiness to cooperate with the United Nations in everything. The Secretary-General expressed positive feelings towards Sudan and its people.
