
The Ministry of Energy and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) jointly organized an awareness seminar on anti-corruption at the Ministry on Thursday.
Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin made an opening speech, emphasizing the importance of carrying out duties without bias to create a corruption-free working environment. He also mentioned that the ministry has established a Corruption Prevention Unit (CPU) and is actively implementing anti-corruption measures in accordance with the Anti-Corruption Law, bylaws, orders, and directions.
Later, a Commission member explained the purpose of organizing the awareness event, followed by presentations on the Anti-Corruption Commission Law, the nature of corruption, prevention measures, and the interrogation process. After the event, ACC officials met with CPU members to discuss corruption prevention measures and future plans.
