Peace Process: NSPNC holds meeting with RCSS delegation

National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) held a meeting with a peace delegation from Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naing and members, RCSS Secretary (1) Sao Sai Ngin, Central Executive Committee members Sao Saung Han ်and Sao Ohm Khae, and Central Steering Committee member Sao Sai Han and Sao Sai Hlyan.

After negotiating the agendas from both sides, the NSPNC Secretary and RCSS Secretary (1) exchanged greetings. They later discussed various matters, including the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), the upcoming 8th anniversary of NCA, the successful holding of free and fair multi-party democracy general elections in Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAO) areas, cooperation for humanitarian assistance in EAO areas, amendments to certain sections of the 2008 Constitution, regional development, and economic needs. The meeting is scheduled to continue on September 22nd.
