Regional Development: Agriculture works inspects in Kokang

Chairman of Kokang Self-Administered Zone U Myint Swe attended the regional level office sign board opening ceremony in Laukkai of Kokang Self-Administered Zone on 20th September.

At the ceremony, the Chairman of Kokang Self-Administered Zone, along with the Secretary and Chairman of Laukkai Township Administration Committee unveiled the Signboard and sprinkled.

Later, they attended a ceremony for providing seeds to Nar Lee opium crop substitution farm. During the ceremony, a video clip on implementation of agricultural works across the region during 2022-2023 was screened.

Then, they provided seeds fertilizers to growers from respective village-tracts, and land use certificates (Form 7) were also presented to 15 farmers.

Afterwards, the Chairman of Kokang Self-Administered Zone and party made inspection on the demonstration of cultivating monsoon crops at Nar Lee farm.

After hearing reports by the officials, the Chairman made instructions on systematic cultivation of crops and increase per yield, implementation for development of the region by producing value-added products and utilizing of farmlands in lines with rules and regulations.

During the inspection, two Electronic Vehicles were donated for the students from the High School for agriculture, livestock, technical and industrial.
