Rural Development Efforts: Kachin State CM inspected breeding farms and markets

For the implementation of 7 Mile Aung Thar Village as pig breeding model Village in Bamaw Township, the Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan together with State Minister for ethnic affairs and departmental officials conducted ground inspection of pig breeding farms in the Village in the morning on 14th September.

The Chief Minister viewed the breeding farm with 64 pigs of farmer U Ar Chum's mixed crops cultivation farm running with the assistance of 30 million kyats of country's economic promotion fund, status of growing more piglets and succeeding of cat fish and Tilavia fish breeding.

Likewise, other pig farms were inspected, provided cash and coordinated with the members of district Administration for the necessary inputs such as rice bran to be able to purchase from the rice mill, obtaining piglets and to sell the pork at the welfare markets.

Next, the Chief Minister inspected the status of construction of Manaw pole, Manaw square and Arch entrance in the compound of Kachin literature and culture association in Bamaw Township and fulfilled requirements to the organizing committee members to complete in coming November.

In the morning on 15th September, the Chief Minister. State Chief justice and State ministers visited welfare market, viewed the selling poultry meat, pork, beef and fishes by the State development committee, rice and cooking oil selling by the rice and cooking merchants' associations and the shop stalls of departments, cooperatives societies and self-produced farmers' selling cooking oil, eggs and vegetables, cordially greeted the people in a queue to buy the kitchen foods, inquired obstacles and solved them and instructed responsible officials to arrange to buy the commodities without difficulty, systematic selling cooking to all people in the ward and selling the vegetables, meats and fished after conducting food safety procedures.
