Tour in Shan State: Meeting with teachers and Christian Council in Lashio

Members of the State Administration Council U Shwe Kyein and U Yan Kyaw, along with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and officials, met with teachers from the Higher Education Department in Lashio on Thursday.

SAC member U Shwe Kyein emphasized the importance of educated individuals for national development and urged teachers to guide the way in nurturing the intellectual and intelligentsia needed for future progress.

During the ceremony, honorary cash assistance was presented for Lashio University, the University of Technology, the University of Computer Studies, and Education Degree College.

Afterwards, SAC members and officials held a meeting with State, District, and Township Education Officers and teachers at No. Basic Education High School, Lashio.

SAC member U Yan Kyaw stressed the critical role of education in addressing challenges in the political, economic, agricultural, and livestock sectors.

The government is encouraging the inclusion of extracurricular activities in addition to regular school lessons, emphasizing the importance of teachers in nurturing exceptional human resources for the future.

The District Education Officer expressed gratitude, and cash assistance was also provided during the meeting.

Then, they visited the Lashio Council of Churches, where SAC member U Yan Kyaw extended greetings. A council member engaged in discussion and expressed their gratitude. Cash assistance was also provided to the council member churches.
