Inspection in Ayeyawady region: Union Minister makes inspection tour

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win together with Ayeyarwaddy Region Minister of Social Affairs of and officials visited Vocational Training School in Pathein under the Department of Social Welfare on Monday.

At the training school, the principle reported on conducting training courses and Union Minister called for effective use of vocational trainings and creating job opportunities. Then, Union Minister cordially met trainees and urged to try hard to develop their own businesses based on the skills and knowledge from the trainings, produce the products for both local and foreign markets.

He also guided to the teachers to examine the qualified trainees who are capable of carrying out the professional activities. The Union Minister and party then visited Pathein primary School and looking into the children learning. During the visit, Union Minister called for nurturing the children for their comprehensive development.

Then, Union Minister inspected Department of Disaster Management, Ayeyarwaddy Region Head-office and warehouse of relief supplies. The Union Minister then met with the staffs and gave necessary instructions on completion of the shelters that are being constructed with the national disaster management fund of Ayeyarwaddy Region, to carry out more awareness activities on natural disasters, conducting more drills on natural disasters and fire hazard, disaster response measures and gave instructions to the staffs to carry out to the tasks responsibly.

After that, Union Minister and officials visited Set Taw Yar Home for the Aged and observed caring of the elders and donated cash to the Home for the Aged Supervision Committee.
