Clarification and Demonstration: UEC clarifies Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine

The Union Election Commission is conducting clarification and demonstration of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) and the event was held at the office of Nay Pyi Taw Council on Monday.

Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw City Development Committee U Than Tun Oo, Deputy Mayor, officers and staff attended the event and conducted practically voting. Members of Union Election Commission and officials of the UEC office clarified Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine and demonstrated test voting.

Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) is constructed by local technicians according to the situation with Myanmar and the voters can be able to vote easily without any difficulty. The officers and staff who conducted test votes at the clarification and demonstration held at the ministries and organizations as the voter awareness, can vote easily and fast. 

There are no errors in regard with the machine. 335 officers and staff of Nay Pyi Taw Council and 220 officers and staffs of Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee attended the event and cast votes practically, it is learnt.
