Bosnia's iconic Old Bridge hosts high-flying diving world championship

12 women and 12 men, totally 24 athletes gathered at the Old Bridge in Bosnia's historic town of Mostar, known for the traditional dives from its 16th century bridge listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List for the penultimate stage of the high-flying diving world championship.

The competition, officially called Red Bull Cliff Diving, has been held since 2009 at iconic venues around the globe. This year, it opened in June in Boston and will conclude in November with its sixth stage in Auckland. Paris hosted this season’s second stage in June, in front of the Eiffel Tower. This competition was won by Canada's Molly Carlson and Spain's Carlos Gimeno.
