Aid from Russia: Humanitarian aid for cyclone Mocha-affected people

A Russian cargo plane carrying humanitarian aid for the people affected by Cyclone Mocha which was provided by the Russian Federation arrived at Yangon International Airport on Saturday morning. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and many other Myanmar and Russian officials attended the aid hand-over ceremony at the Airport.

It reported the Russian plane carried over 24 tons of foodstuffs, 25 ten-seat rain shelters and a mobile electric power station. It is known that while the government is providing humanitarian aid to the people affected by Cyclone Mocha, it is practicing the principle of leaving no one behind.
