Kachin State Trip: SAC Member visits hospital, holds meeting

Member of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu accompanied by Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and concerned officials visited the 500-bed People's Hospital in Myitkyina and comforted the patients who are receiving treatments.

There, they also provided cash assistance and nutritious foods to the patients and cash assistance for the hospital fund. At the Office of the State Government, the SAC Member met with the Literature and Culture organizations of the 12 Ethnic groups.

At the meeting, the SAC member stressed that the SAC has adopted 5- point road map and 9 objectives and is making concerted efforts to achieve peace and stability across the entire nation and to ensure that a free and fair multi-party democratic general election is held.

That’s why, every individual is urged to participate in conducting enumeration of a ground population census which is a fundamental task to ensure the accuracy of voter lists and all-round development of the nation and its people.

Then, the Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan clarified the ongoing implementation tasks for the rights of the Ethnic people and State Minister for Ethnic Affairs submitted the development processes and necessities of the ethnic groups.

Then, the SAC member provided 2.8 million kyats to Ethnic Literature and Culture organizations. Then, chairman of the Kachin Tradition and Culture committee expressed words of gratitude and the SAC members fulfilled the needs. Then, the SAC member held a meeting with MSME entrepreneurs at the gymnasium of Myitkyina People’s Sport ground. 

At the meeting, the SAC member stressed that the government is making concerted effort for the development of the MSME enterprises, agriculture and livestock sector and sustainable development of the enterprises based on local raw materials.

Therefore, the entrepreneurs are encouraged to get the required technical and mechanical assistances and to produce value added products by working together with the state government and relevant departments.

She also called for support to weaving businesses of the state and for the One Region-One Product (OROP) project. Then, the attendees made sector-wise discussions and the departmental officials reported tasks to be implemented.

Then, the SAC member and the Chief Minister coordinated the discussions and fulfilled the needs.
