Heavy rain in Macau

On Sept 8, Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau issued two red rainfall warnings and all non-higher education schools have been closed due to the rains. Macau was affected by the remnants of Typhoon Haikui.

The total daily rainfall on the Macau Peninsula had exceeded 160 millimeters, with the highest record of 192.2 millimeters at the Dr Sun Yat-sen Municipal Park station.

Macau is expected to remain under the influence of the remnants of Typhoon Haikui from the 9th to the 10th, with occasional thunderstorms and heavy rainfall at times. There were at least two incidents of mudslides in Coloane, with no injuries reported.
