Workshop under MLC Fund :Technology transfer management & MSMEs innovation

Under Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2021), a workshop on exchange programs to best policy practice in technology transfer management system and MSMEs innovation in Lancang-Mekong region” organized by Department of Research and Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology was opened in Yangon on Wednesday.

Under Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2021), a workshop on exchange programs to best policy practice in technology transfer management system and MSMEs innovation in Lancang-Mekong region” organized by Department of Research and Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology was opened in Yangon on Wednesday.

Mekong-Lancang Cooperation aimed to develop cross-border business, to strengthen cooperation in production capacity, to provide the health benefits and to develop micro, small and medium enterprises.

Yu Yu Nwe Oo ,Deputy Director ,Department of Research and Innovation said " We carry out the projects annually under Mekong-Lancang Cooperation program. Generally, our department undertakes the projects to transfer technology in a systematic way to the entrepreneurs. China mainly supports for the project and experts from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand will exchange knowledge on the best policy practices in technology transfer management system. "

Officials of Yangon Region Government, the Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, Ambassadors of Mekong region countries in Myanmar, departmental heads, representatives of Mekong-Lancang countries and invited guests joined the event.  

Yu Yu Nwe Oo ,Deputy Director ,Department of Research and Innovation said " As our department is Research Department, it is implementing the projects with the support of the government. We conduct researches on food and drugs as well as personal goods. Through our research, we expect to provide effective assistance to the start-up businesses and entrepreneurs for the best practices in applying technologies."

The workshop last 2-days, aiming to learn and exchange the good practices of China and the Mekong countries for the technology transfer management system, to improve the skills of entrepreneurs and strengthen cooperation between the government sector and the industrial sector.
