Work coordination meeting: MoLA UAG gave opening speech at the meeting

The third work coordination meeting of the Union Minister for Legal Affairs Union Attorney General and the advocate generals and law officers of regions and states was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on September 2nd.

In her opening speech at the meeting, the Union Minister Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo clarified the work undertakings of the Ministry of Legal Affairs within 8 months from January to August, 2023 including signing MoU between the Ministry and the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and Ministry and the China-ASEAN Legal Research Centre, expansion and new formation of departments of the Ministry, undertakings regarding with the Bar Council of the Supreme Court, MLIS service, the motto of the Ministry’s strategic plan (2020-2024), provision of 156 laws enacted by the State Administration Council from 2021 to 2023 exercising the legislative power, work implementations of Legal Translation Commission, chairing at the ASEAN LAW Association-ALA, opening Legal Advocacy Trainings, implementing to establish Legal Advocacy Center and drafting Standing Order for Legal Advocacy Center and Standard Operating Procedure for Legal Advocacy Center etc.

Next, the Deputy Minister Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htein Lin Oo and advocate generals of the regions and states reported the related sector. The meeting was also attended by the directors general, deputy directors general, directors, regions and states law officers.
