Peace Talks: 2nd day meeting with peace delegations

A peace talk between the State Peace Talks Team-SPTT and five NCA signatories’ representatives of EAOs (ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU, PNLO) took place as sedond day at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Wednesday.

State Administration Council Member, Union Minister, in his capacity as the leader of the peace talk team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC member Lt. Gen. Moe Myint Tun, Vice Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Union Minister Lt. Gen. Soe Htut, Secretary of the NSPNC Lt-Gen Min Naing and committee members and peace delegations led by Chairperson of ALP Saw Mara Yazar Lin, Vice Chairman of KNU/ KNLA Peace Council Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo, Vice Chairman of LDU Kyar Phu, PNLO Chairman Khun Thurein and DKBA Operational Commander Saw Ba Nyein Aung and representatives. 

At the talk, the matters on the collaboration of NCA Signatory EAOs at the relevant regions in the implementation of providing humanitarian assistances for the IDPs and residents at the armed conflict regions, participation of the EAOs in first-hand in building the Federal Union, uplifting the leading role of the EAOs in the political field as per the region and organizing NCA (8) year anniversary  with full political essence were discussed.

The attendees openly took part in the mutural discussion and the second day talk was adjourned and the talk will be continued on 31st August and the agreements will be signed.
