





The Information and Public Relations Department under the Ministry of Information and Department of Basic Education under the Ministry of Education jointly organized a youth round table discussion at the B.E.H.S (1) in Yankin Township.
Hla Hla Htwe ,Staff Officer, IPRD said " The youth roundtable discussion was aims to encourage the talented students to enhance their knowledge as well as to improve their communication and public speaking skills. This is the 2nd event and the first time was held at the TTC, Yankin in last July. We have a plan to hold other youth discussions at the private schools in September. "
At the event, the students discussed the topics under respective categories such as youth and health, youth and technology, youth and sports, youth and literature, youth and culture, youth and morals as well as narcotic drugs.
Maung Maung Lwin ,Headmaster ,B.E.H.S (1) Yankin said " We made the youth round table discussions to broaden the students’ horizons. We believed that this kind of events can encourage improving their reading skills and gain a lot of knowledge. "
The youth roundtable discussions can help students to improve their personal skills such as communication, leading a discussion, problem solving, teamwork and public speaking skills, and it’s the best way to motivate the inspiration of young people.
