Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods worth over 196 mln Kyats confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 18th and 19th of August, illegal goods including  parts of insulating sheath, goods nameplates, instant rice vermicelli, vegetablecooking oil, professionalnail lamps, snacks, soy milk, palm oil and bamboo tissue worth over 196 million Kyats were confiscated at the Yangon International Airport, on the Yangon- Myawaddy Pyidaungsu Highway and at the Yepu permanent checkpoint as well as in Myawaddy Township and Kengtung Township.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
