Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods, teak worth over 337 mln Kyats confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th of August, illegal goods including generators,ceramic plates, flipflops,  instant rice Vermicelli, solar light, peanuts, sesame and teak worth over 337 million Kyats were confiscated in Pazundaung Township and in Mawlamyine Township as well as at the Yaypu checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint and at Sinphyu checkpoint as well as on the Mandalay-Taunggyi road and in Pyigyidagun Township and in Nyaunglebin district.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
