




14th batch of the Care Giver Training Course is being conducted by the Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
The trainees are the employees from the day care centers for the aged and homes for the aged and young people who are planning to work in abroad as caregivers.
Wai Wai Phyo Lwin, Deputy Director, Day Care Center for the Aged said " A total of 351 trainees from batch 1 to 13 have already completed the training courses. Currently, there’re 19 trainees attending the 14th batch. The training will last 9 weeks and officials from the Department of Social Welfare and relevant departments under the Ministry are providing training courses practically and theoretically."
Officials from Myanmar Red Cross Society and Myanmar National Human Right Commission are also providing the courses related to human rights. The professors from the Department of Psychology from Yangon University and psychologists are also conducting the psychological courses during the training.

Kyi Lei Lei Aung, Trainee, See Zar Yeik Home for the Aged said " There are a total of 96 elders at See Zar Yeik Home for the Aged. I will apply the knowledge I have learned during the training in my workplace and to help elders around me."
Lin Ko Paing ,Trainee , Ayeyawaddy Region said " I join this training to be able to care the elders systematically and to get job opportunities as a caregiver in Japan. As all of the courses are useful and effective, I believe many experiences and knowledge will be improved in caring services after completing the training. "
After the training, the trainees will gain knowledge about the mental health and physical changes in elders and be able to provide more care giving services effectively.
