5th China-Southeast Asia Business Forum: MOC Union Minister addresses the Forum

On the 17th, Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo attended the 5th China-Southeast Asia Business Forum in Kunming. At the opening ceremony, the Deputy Governor of Yunnan Province, the Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre, and the Chairman of the Global Chinese Merchants Association delivered speeches. In his address, Union Minister U Aung Naing Oo stated that Myanmar will engage in close cooperation with China and ASEAN member states in trading, investments, and other areas.

He emphasized the necessity of promoting cooperation among the economic communities to foster future prospects and opportunities. He underscored the importance of giving special attention to the policies of respective nations, their requirements, and objectives for successful cooperation.

Following this, the forum continued, with the Chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry U Aye Win, acting the role of Alternate Chairman and discussing matters of economic cooperation.

Then, a round of discussions took place involving the Chairmen of the Federations of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and government representatives from Yunnan Province. In the afternoon, the Union Minister and delegation members attended a working luncheon hosted by the Yunnan Province Governor.
