Paid homage to Sayadaws: MoRAC Union Minister paid homage to Sayadaws

The Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin together with Deputy Minister, permanent secretary, directors General and officials paid homage to the Sayadaygyis led by the State Ovadacariya Sayadaw, member of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee, members of Central Sangha Representatives Committee, Nay Pyi Taw Region Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw, Ovadacariya Sayadaws of Uppatasanti Pagoda, Township Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaws from multiple sects of Sangha organizations, supplicated religious matters, received advices, offered Waso Robes and day meal in the morning on Tuesday.

First, the congregation led by the Union Minister observed five precepts and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

In his supplication of religious matters, the Union Minister said that the matters of the Sangha organization can be freely conducted by the members of Sangha, the Ministry will only take a role of supporter to fulfill requirements of the Sangha, facilitate to hold the Sangha examinations including the selection of Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida, Dhammacariya and Pali Pahtamabyan examinations and will sholder the Sasana duties by joining hand with the Venerable Sayadawgyis for the promotion and propagation of the Buddha Sasana.

Next, the State Ovadacariya Sayadaw, member of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee, members of Central Sangha Representatives Committee, Nay Pyi Taw Region Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw gave the necessary suggestions regarding with supporting the Sasana.

Then, the Union Minister and officials offered Waso robes to the Sayadawgyis, took the sermon delivered by the Sangha, shared the merits and offered ‘Soon’ (Day Meal) to the Sayadawgyis.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister and officials offered Waso Robes to 5 Sayadaygyis residing at Maravijaya monastery in Buddha Park, Dakkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, supplicated religious matters, received advices.

After observing five precepts and taking Paritta Suttas recited by the Sayadaws, the Union Minister supplicated religious matters including the objectives of building the Maravijaya Buddha Image. Then, the Sayadawgyis gave the admonishment advices.

Afterward, the Union Minister and officials offered Waso Robes and cash donation to 5 Sayadaws led by Aggamahapandita Baddanta Neminda, took the sermon delivered by Baddanta Neminda and shared the merits gained.
