Humanitarian Assistance: SG receives UNUSG for Humanitarian Affairs & ERC

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator-the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) Mr. Martin Griffiths at the SAC Chairman office in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

On the occasion, they discussed and exchanged views on Myanmar’s political changing, taking the State responsibilities by Tatmadaw in accord with 2008 Constitution due to vote rigging in 2020 multiparty general election, efforts of the SAC to continue marching on the multi-party democratic way that is aspired by people, endeavours for achieving internal peace, spreading fake news on the situation of Myanmar in the internationals and the needs to know the actual conditions of Myanmar by international communities, a few providing assistance from international organizations including the United Nations during COVID-19 outbreak in Myanmar and the occurrence of Cyclone MOCHA and plans to cooperate more in providing humanitarian assistance.

Also present at the meeting were Secretary of the SAC Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Than Swe, U Ko Ko Hlaing, Dr Soe Win and officials.
