Efforts for Ayeyawaddy Region: Prime Minister makes inspections in Pathein Township

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and concerned officials inspected the tasks implementation for development of the sport sector in Ayeyawaddy Region and water distribution in Pathein Township.

First, the Prime Minister and party arrived at the KoeThein Sport Ground and heard reports on development process of the sport sector of the region, upgrading and constructions of the sport grounds, stadiums and swimming pool and arrangements to open Sports and Physical Education (Pathein).

The Prime Minister stressed that to develop the sport sector is one of the objectives of the nation and promoting sprot sector can raise the prestige of the nation and enhance the national spirit. He also called for construction of modern stadiums and sport.

Then, the Prime Minister and party inspected the KoeThein Sport Ground and KayukTine Sport Ground. Then, the Prime Minister and party inspected the construction of the modern indoor swimming pool and gave instructions to focus on the capacity and sustainability.

Then, the Prime Minister and party inspected the Pathein Water distribution process and heard reports on water meter installation, water purifying plant and distribution of the purified water to the public, and the Prime Minister gave necessary instructions to raise public awareness of the water utilization and conservation of the trees along river banks to reduce sedimentation.

Then, the Prime Minister and party inspected the water purifying processes of the plant and coordinated the requirements. It’s learnt that the water distribution process in Pathein can purify about 4.5 million gallons of water from NgaWon River and distribute to the Pathein Township at reasonable prices.
