Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held meeting with officers, other ranks and families of Pathein Station of the Southwest Command at the Ayeyawady hall of the Command on Friday.
In the meeting, the Senior General firstly clarified extension of further 6 months for the emergency period across the nation starting on 1st August 2023 as there are still terror acts, adopting 5-point Road Map and 9 objectives for further assigned period, preparations for holding a free and fair multi-party democracy general election, plan to transfer the state duty to elected government by holding a free and fair election, changing of administrative mechanisms in successive eras and the role of Tatmadaw in leading the national politics.
He also stressed on implementation for the achievement of newly adopted 5-point Road Map and 9 objectives, nurturing versatile youths who can lead the nation in future, efforts for education promotion to support the nation development.
He reiterated that the main responsibility of Tatmadaw is to safeguard against threats to the state’s sovereignty and to protect the national interests and the people.
To improve the strength of the Tatmadaw, it needs to raise the capacity of individual military service men and to train individual Tatmadawmen to be fit and strong and Tatmadaw officers and other ranks must carry out their duties to have achievements.
It needs to make all-round efforts to build a capable Tatmadaw from individual performance. The Senior General then asked about the needs of officers, other ranks and families.
After that, the Senior General presented food stuff for officers, other ranks and families through the Commander. Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief, also presented cash for the Station Maternal and Child Welfare Association.
After the meeting, the Senior General and party made cordial greetings with those attendees. After that, the Senior General and party viewed around regiments and units in the Pathein Station in a mortorcade.
