






Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin held meeting with regional level departments at the city hall in Magway on Friday to implement successfully the state’s economy, social and regional development tasks in the region.
At the meeting, the Region Chief Minister said that it is needed to upgrade the quality of onion cultivation to be able to export to the foreign market as it is currently important for agricultural sector of the region, to prioritize the matter to produce 6000 visses per acre and to form onion grower’s association to seek good prices for the farmers.
As for the livestock sector, regarding livestock transportation rights, if it is transported beyond the region, it is needed to carry out in line with the procedures approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
The government is carrying out the rural development tasks by granting project funds under various titles. As for the education sector, three schools that won the prize for improving health in primary level were selected and in the second week, the awards will be given at the regional level ceremony. Entrance exams will be held for the University for the Development of the National Races (UDNR)by accepting application forms. The Chief Minister clarified conducting basic training courses for producing foodstuff and sewing courses for small businesses in Magway Region and increasing rural family income.
Meetings will be held with entrepenures for the development of MSME businesses in Magway Region. He added that field inspections will be carried out to inspect the issuing of NRC cards under the Pan Kin Project-2. The relevant departments are urged to supervise filling stations to sell diesel and fuel at the correct price and no shortage of fuel.
For the health sector, vaccinations have to be carried out in the region for the prevention of Covid-19 disease. He explained about the matters related to the decrease in the price of goods in the region and to carry out cleaning tasks and beautifying of towns and villages.
Then, the director of Magway Region Government office clarified on the decisions made at the meeting 6/2023. Regional level departments and Regional Ministers also made discussions according to their respective sectors on which the Region Chief Minister coordinated essentials.
