Locomotive Assembling Process: New Locomotive Assembling Factory (Nay Pyi Taw)

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo inspected the New Locomotive Assembling Factory (Nay Pyi Taw) of Myanma Railways on Wednesday.

At the meeting hall of the factory, officials of Myanma Railways reported on salient point of the factory and assembling of new diesel engine locomotives. In response to the reports, the Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications stressed on arrangements for assembling of the types of locomotives and the numbers, efforts for assembling of locomotives by applying the experiences of skilled employees in future, saving foreign currency of the state by manufacturing in local by making contact with relevant ministries and organizations and taking care of material purchasing and tender programs in line with procedures and fulfilled the needs.

The Union Minister and party then viewed around manufacturing process of body and bogie parts for new locomotives at the factory and the assembled new diesel engine and two new locomotives which are under assembling process and gave necessary instructions.
