


Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held meeting with SAC members at the SAC Chairman office in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.
SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, SAC secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and Council members joined the meeting.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister said that this is the 1st meeting with the newly reformed council members and the State Administration Council took the state responsibilities assigned by Pro Tem President in accord with 2008 Constitution due to voting fraud in 2020 General Election.
As the previous government did not resolve the voting fraud that occurred in the 2020 election in accordance with the law and attempted to seize the state power by force, Tatmadaw performed the state responsibilities for strengthening multi-party democratic system.
After abolishing the parliament, they did not solve in line with the law and chose the path of armed and violence acts by forming illegal groups such as CRPH, NUG and PDF groups. As the so-called PDF terrorists carried out armed violence with the help and support of some EAO groups.
Tatmadaw has endeavoured to achieve peace agreement with ethnic armed groups since before and it is undertaking based on the NCA. Due to violent acts, there have been delays in undertaking for ensuring peace and stability, rule of law and development in some areas.
The acts of so-called PDF terrorists and some EAO groups are hampering peace and stability, law enforcement and regional development in ethnic areas and also losing the rights of learning opportunities of school-aged children.
Moreover it causes the loss of job opportunities of the locals, their socio-economic life and the future of the nation. The ultimate goal of the State Administration Council is to hold a free and fair multi-party democratic general election.
In order to successfully hold a free and fair multi-party democratic general election, efforts must be made to ensure peace and stability throughout the country.
The Prime Minister added that Myanmar is a country that is manufacturing the products based on agriculture and livestock. It needs to consider producing MSME products as the value-added products by using advanced technologies.
He stressed the needs on cultivation of more crops including oil crops to reduce the basic import goods and to export more goods. He called for making efforts for improving socio-economic life of the people from all sectors while promoting productivities based on agriculture and livestock.
Regarding the ethnic rights, equal rights are given in accordance with the Constitution and the government has been making efforts for development of ethnic areas. He also highlighted the importance of adherence to NCA and peace talks for stability.
All the people in the country must have a high level of education as every modern developed country is rich in intellectuals. Only if a democratic system that suits the country is developed, national cultural characteristics will be preserved.
All must continue to carry out the processes to establish a union based on democracy and federal system. Efforts are being made to ensure that a free and fair election is held in accordance with the law and that the entire country has the right to vote.
If there is interference with the rule of law, peace and stability of the country and the people's socio-economic life development, it will delay the country's development and the people's socio-economic life improvement process as well as the electoral process.
The Senior General also urged the entire public to work together to end all terrorist incidents and strengthen the multi-party democratic system.
