Table Top Exercise: 3-day event focuses on Counter-Terrorism

The Table Top Exercises of ASEAN Defense Minister’s Meeting (ADMM)-Plus Experts’ Working Group on Counter-Terrorism was held successfully at Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw from 2nd to 4th August.

On the second day of the event on 3rd August, military operation plan was discussed by the participants. Myanmar and Russia co-chaired the Table Top Exercises and the delegations from ASEAN member states and its dialogue partners such as Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam.

In the third day’s morning of the exercise, the delegations observed the skill demonstration of the Tattmadaw Special Squad at the local training school. The Table Top Exercises continued in the afternoon. In the evening, the dinner in honour of the senior military officers from 12 member countries attending the event was held.

It’s reported that the delegations made study tour to Defence Service Museum, National Museum and Myanmar Gems Museum during the exercise. They also paid homage to Uppatasanti Pagoda and Maravijaya Buddha Image.

Table Top Exercises was held between ASEAN member states and its dialogue partners and the discussion focused on the Counter Terrorism among 7 cooperation sectors on security affairs.
