China successfully launched a new meteorological satellite on Thursday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China. The Fengyun-3 06 satellite was lifted into the preset orbit by a Long March-4C rocket, which blasted off at 11:47 a.m. Beijing Time.
