





A work coordination meeting on the Gasifier technology which can produce the electric power to promote the national’s economy was held at the Ministry of Electric Power in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.
First, Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han delivered an opening speech saying that the Ministry has been carried out to meet the demand of electric power within the country from the variety of sources.
At present, the Ministry has installed the 7,181 MW installed power and the maximum production capacity is only 2,590 MW, so that the production unit is less than the consumption.
He urged to the owners of private businesses to discuss about the technical rules on Gasifier technique which can promote the country’s economic development by producing the electric power from waste materials.
Then, the Deputy Minister for Science and Technology and officials reported matters on technical inspection of the Gasifier factories that are currently operating with rice husks fuel.
Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw and Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than also discussed on the reports.
The meeting successfully ended with a conclusion by Union Minister U Thaung Han.
