Course on Child Nurturing: Magway CM attends opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of Child Nurturing and Development Basic Course No. 4/2023 was held at the General Administration Department in Pwint Phyu Township, Magway Region on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by Magway Region Chief Minister Thiri PyanChi U Tint Lwin and ministers, departmental officials, trainees and representatives from non-governmental organizations.

In his speech, the Region Chief Minister said that the trainees will benefit from the course and that the course is opened with the fund of the department of social welfare for the pre-primary school teachers in Pwint Phyu Township who have not yet attended any training courses.

He urged the trainees to make efforts in learning the lectures by the lecturers during the 21-day period of the course. He also instructed them to use the nurturing methods which are taught during the training course in their respective Pre-Primary Schools.

Then, the head officer of Magway Region Social Welfare Department clarified about the course and the trainees introduced themselves individually. The course will cover 5 types of children development methods, language development, health and nutrition, first aid, creating teaching aid, drawing curriculums, providing special care for the needy children and sharing knowledge to the parents for safety of the children.
