Waso robe offering: Ceremony organized by Taninthayi Region Government

The Waso robe offering ceremony organized by Taninthayi Region Government was held at the Sasana Beikman in Dawei on Tuesday, Dhammacakkaday.

Taninthayi Region Chief Minister Thiri Pyanchi U Myat Ko donated golden rotus robe, flowers, water, lights and food to the Buddah image in the Sasana Beikman. Later, the congregation led by the Regional Government received the Eight Precepts from Presiding Nayaka of Zeyawadi monastery State OvadasariyaBuddhantaThuriya and listened to the parittas recited by members of sangha.

The Region Chief Minister then supplicated religious affairs and donated Waso robe and offertories to members of the sangha. The congregation then listened to the sermons recited by Presiding Nayaka of GawThita Rama PaliThetkathoe Monastery in Dawei, State OvadaSariyaBuddhantaPyinnya Sami and shared the merits gained.

After the ceremony, the Regional Government donated day meal to members of the sangha.
