Paying homage to Sayadawgyis: Leading Donor SAC Chairman paid homage to Sayadawgyis

The gala ceremonies of consecration for the Maravijaya Buddha Image which will be highest in its kind on the world erecting in Dakkhinathiri Township, Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw, hoisting umbrella atop the stone inscription stupas and merits sharing will be held on 1st August, 2023, full moon day of (Second Waso month), 1385 Myanmar Era.

The over 70 venerable Sayadawgyis from Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, Viet Nam, Bangladesh, Russian Federation, Laos, India and Sri Lanka will grace the ceremonies.

Those Sayadawgyis from foreign countries who are temporarily residing at Jasmine Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw were paid homage by the Leading Donor Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing together with the members in the afternoon on 31st July.

First, the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and members are introduced by the Chancellor of Sitagu Buddhist Universities Dr. Baddanta Nanissara and Rector Sayaday of International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University Baddanta Chekinda to the Sayadawgyis separately as per the country.

First, the Leading Donor Prime Minister expressed his delight for the attending of the Sayadawgyis to the ceremonies. Besides, the citizens of the countries of the Sayadawgyis are also invited to pay homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image.

All necessary things have been arranged for the Sayadawgyis to reside in mental wellbeing during the trip. Such attending of the Sayadawgyis to the ceremonies will strengthen in the cooperation regarding with the Buddha Sasana and facilitate the propagation of the Buddha Sasana.

In responding to the words of delight of the Leading Donor Prime Minister, the Sayadawgyis mentioned their honor for inviting such gala ceremonies.
