Channel rebranding: MRTV rebrands its Farmers’ and Sports Channels

In commemoration of taking responsibilities of the State Administration Council for turning 2 years and 6 months on 1st August 2023 (Waso Fullmoon Day) and consecration of Maravijaya Buddha image in Nay Pyi Taw which will be inscribed as the tallest buddha statue among the Buddha images with sitting posture in the world, the Channel rebranding of MRTV Farmers’ Channel  and MRTV Sports Channel jointly  organized by MRTV under the Ministry of Information and the Hey Play Co. Ltd was held at the MRTV  Auditorium in Nay Pyi Taw Tatkone township on Monday.

Member of the SAC Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San, Union Ministers U Maung Maung Ohn, U Min Naung, U Khin Maung Yi, U Aung Naing Oo, deputy Ministers and concerned officials attended the event.

At the ceremony, MRTV staff and famous vocalists entertained with songs and then a video clip on “Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal" was shown. After that, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn reported on Channel Rebranding of MRTV Farmers’ Channel and MRTV Sports Channel and measures to launch on 1st August 2023.

Later, the song, “Our Country Myanmar” sung by vocalist Htoo L Lin was shown. The promo video clip on implementations for MRTV Farmers’ Channel  Rebranding and MRTV Sports Channel  Rebranding was shown.

Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San and Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn formally opened to rebrand MRTV Farmers’ Channel and MRTV Sports Channel starting 1st August according to the channels.

Representatives of the Ministries presented flowers baskets to Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn for the channel rebranding. The MRTV staffs then performed with the song “Thwe Chin Toe Hta Nay Myanmar Pyi. Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn and Deputy Minister U Ye Tint presented gifts to the guests. 

After that, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San, Union Ministers U Maung Maung Ohn and U Min Naung presented flower baskets to MRTV entertainment troupes and Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi and U Aung Naing Oo and Deputy Minister U Zin Min Htet to artist troupes.

Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San, Union Ministers and party viewed around news broadcasting room of MRTV, Convergence News Room, MRTV HD, MRTV News Channel rooms, Farmers’ channel and sports channel on-air rooms, MRTV News Channel News Studio and Farmers’ News Studio.

MRTV Farmers’ Channel was launched on 15th October on 2013 and the MRTV Sports Channel  on 15th February on 2018. Now, in cooperation with Hey Play Co., Ltd, the programs will be upgraded and rebranded starting from 1st August and a total of 18 hours will be broadcast from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
