Work Undertakings: Tree planting, fingerlings releasing and OPD Inauguration

The Ministry of Health organized a monsoon tree planting ceremony in Deckhina Thiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win and wife, Deputy Minister Dr Aye Tun, departmental personnel, officials, and staff. Altogether, 430 saplings of various hardwoods and shady trees, including teak, star flower, and gantgaw, were planted on a land plot beside Raja Thingaha Road.

Subsequently, a ceremony to release fingerlings was conducted at Mingala Lake in Zabuthiri Township. The Union Minister and party, along with officials, released 30,000 fingerlings provided by the Fisheries Department.

Later, the Union Minister and party attended the opening ceremony of the Out-patient Department (Branch) of Nay Pyi Taw 100-bed Traditional Medicine Hospital in the National Herbal Park.

After the formal opening of the ceremony, they took a tour to view the new facilities. The Traditional Medicine Department provides successful diagnosis and treatment for flu patients using the Withama Antipyretic medicine, produced by the department.

Additionally, the Union Minister and party inspected the thriving herbal plants in the National Herbal Park. The newly opened Out-Patient Department (Branch) will operate from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays.
