Waso Robe Offering: Mon State CM attends Waso Robe Offering Ceremony

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein attended the Collective Waso Robe Offering Ceremony of the Mon State Police Force family members on 30th July. 

The ceremony was held in the morning at the Sinphyu Pariyatti Monastery in Mawlamyaing Township with the presence of the State Chief Minister and wife and many other officials as well as well-wishers.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Namothassa three times. The congregation took five precepts from the Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw and listened to the Paritta Suttas recited by members of the Sangha.

Afterwards, the Waso robe and offertories were offered by the attendees. The ceremony was concluded after delivering sermon by the Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw and sharing the merits gained.
