Inspection Trip: Factories in Ayeyawady Region inspected

Union Minister for Energy U Myo Myint Oo, accompanied by departmental officials of the Ministry, inspected the No.5 Fertilizer Factory (Kangyidaunt) under the Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise (MPE) on Saturday.

The Union Minister and party reviewed the annual maintenance, factory operations and the installation of machines with Distributed Control System (DCS) at main control room of the factory.

The factory manager reported the ongoing tasks of the factory. Based on the reports, the Union Minister said that efforts have to be made to boost domestic fertilizer production in order to reduce the foreign currency consumption.

He also appreciated the professionals who involved in this annual maintenance works of the factory and instructed to pay special emphasis on proper factory operations, fire prevention measures, green and clean environ of factory compound and its surrounding and security issues of the factory. 

After that, the Union Minister and party inspected urea fertilizer distribution at the storage and distribution department, presented cash awards and nutrient foodstuff to the staff who engaged in the annual machine maintenance.

At present, No. (5) Fertilizer Factory (Kangyidaunt) is operating with domestically produced natural gas, and the produced chemical fertilizers are sold to farmers with reasonable prices.

Later, the Union Minister and Ayeyarwaddy Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win visited the Natural Gas Distribution Station (Thabaung).

During the visit, responsible officials reported the distribution of natural gas needed for the Newsprint Factory (Thabaung) and the upgrading status of natural gas distribution system.

Based on the presentations, the Union Minister inspected the upgrading status of the natural gas distribution system and instructed to make efforts for regular transmission of natural gas and worksite safety.

Then, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister provided nutrient foodstuff to the staff.
