Rehabilitation in Rakhine : Senior military officials manage rehabilitation works

Senior military officers have been assigned in Rakhine State under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law to oversee the progress of rehabilitation works in cyclone-affected areas.

On the 26th of July, Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and departmental officials who are currently in Kyaukphyu Township in Rakhine State participated in monsoon mangrove planting event to commemorate the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem near the mangrove conservation area in Pyin Pyu Mon ward and inspected the clearance tasks along the road from the airfield to the town entrance by the military personnel and relevant officials.

Similarly, Lt-Gen Aye Win and departmental officials who are currently in Buthidaung Township toured round the SME businesses such as MayYu Water Purifier in Myothit ward, Happy Life Ice Machine factory and Next One Confectionary factory in Taung ward, and gave necessary assistances.

Then, he attended a work coordination meeting on township clearance and beautifying process at the Township General Administration Department, heard reports and gave necessary instructions. He also presented certificates of honor to those who donated machinery and fuel oil for the maintenance of township activities.
