Efforts for Women: Plan for Advancement of Women (NSPAW) 2023

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement organized a work coordination meeting for drafting the National Strategic Plan for the Advancement of Women (NSPAW) 2023 on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Chairperson of the Leading Committee of National Strategic Plan for the Advancement of Women 2023-2031, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khaing and many other concerned officials. In the opening remark of the Union Minister, she said that for drafting the NSPAW Phase 2, a leading committee and 12 working committees were estabhilshed.

She also added that among 12 priority sectors of the NSPAW,  the Department of Social Welfare is taking responsibality to draft the two sectors on “Prevention of Violence Against Women” and “Implementation Tasks for Women's Development”, and the “Women and Emergency Case” by the Department of Natural Disaster Management.

She called for cooperation for the NSPAW Phase 2. Then, the Director from the Department of Social Welfare clarified the drafting processes and the meeting was concluded with the discussion of the committee members.
