Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal teak and goods confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 23rd and 24th of July, illegal teak and goods including sterilizers, nails, LCD phones, hair straightening serum, batteries, semiotics SD low voltage motor, blower machinery parts, lamps, micro server with battery charger and automatic microprocessor worth over 183 million Kyats were confiscated at the Thanlwin Bridge(Mawlamyine) checkpoint and in Bago and Pyay districts as well as at the4th-Milepost combined checkpoint and in Lashio township as well as at the Yepu permanent checkpoint, at the Yangon International Airport and at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint.  Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
