Inspection Tour: Shan State Chief Minister makes inspections

The Kyaing Khan Dam Multifaceted project has been implemented in Kyaing Khan Village of Yat Sauk Township since 2005-2006 FY to produce hydropower and to irrigate farmlands sufficiently.

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and departmental officials inspected the project implementation tasks. There, the Director of the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department (Urban) clarified the tasks being implemented and the Chief Minister coordinated the requirements.

Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the construction of retain wall, intake building, spillway and hydropower plant in the project area.It’s learnt that 84% of the Kyaing Khan Multifaceted project has been implemented and 86.75 % of the project is expected to be completed during 2023-2024 FY. The whole project is arranged to complete in 2025-2026 FY before the rainy season.

Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected Zawgyi Dam and the Director of the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department made explanation. Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the control rooms of the No.1 Hydropower Plant and No.2 Hydropower Plant of the Zawgyi Damand presented cash award to the staff of the hydropower plants.

Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the virgin land development project and smart seed corn plantation in Yat Sauk Township and gave necessary instructions.
