





Chairman of National Tourism Industry Development Central Committee, member of State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt. Gen Soe Htut gave a remark at the Myanmar Tourism Industry Development Workshop held in Kumudra Ballroom of Hotel Max, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 21st of July.
In his opening remark, the Central committee Chairman Lt. Gen Soe Htut said that this workshop is conducted with the aim to work out the executable tasks to carry out to restore the development of tourism industry with momentum based on the decisions made at the Central Committee meeting(1/2023).
In a bid of efforts for the development of the country’s political, economic and social sectors, the tourism sector is one the important sectors. For the development of the tourism sector of the country, the good results are needed to work out for the development of the tourism sector by reviewing and assessing from all corners on the current situation of the tourism industry.
In the workshop, 5 Key Tourism Issues essential in the tourism industry are picked and the relevant departments and private representatives will discussed and from that, the work process to be implemented practically for the development of the tourism industry of the country.
Next, the Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism U Aung Thaw clarified regarding with the workshop on the development of the tourism industry of the country. Next, the Myanmar Hotelier Association donated 50 million Kyats for the rehabilitation works in the Mocha cyclone hit area and the Vice Chairman-1 of National Natural Disaster Management Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt. Gen. Soe Htut accepted.
Then, the work was continued and the director General from the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism U Hlaing Oo clarified the subjects matters and the agenda of discussion categorizing 5 groups.
Next, the representatives from the 5 groups discussed the relevant topics and the attendees raised the queries. Afterward, the director General U Hlaing Oo clarified the outcomes from the discussions in brief and the Union Minister gave a speech of conclusion.
