Providing assistances: Kachin State CM met with the temporary displaced families

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials met with the people displaced from Nan San Yan area on the Myitkyina-Bamaw Road in Waimaw Township, Kachin State and sheltered in RC Church, Maina AG camp, Da Bat Yan, Kazuu villages and Maina RC camp in the afternoon on 16th July and gave words of encouragement.

During the trip of providing and giving encouragement, Chief Minister encouraged the newly arrived 68 households constituted with 229 people in Maina RC camp, Da Bat Yan and Kazuu villages to be provided with current needs of food and shelter and the arrangements for the children’s education.

Then, the Chief Minister, State Chief justice and State Minister provided 20 bags of rice, 20 boxes of instant noodle, 200 eggs, stationeries for the students, 800,000 Kyats of cash assistance and 8 bags of rice for 8 teachers and an elder extended words of thanks and Catholic bishop fater Yon War prayed for them and gave words of encouragement.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials cordially greeted the teachers and students, inspected preparations for temporary teaching and learning and coordinated requirements.

The Chief Minister and officials also provided rice, instant noodle and insecticide-treated mosquito nets for 82 households sheltered in AG Church in Waimaw Town on 4th July.

Similarly, the chief minister joined the cleaning and greening works carrying out by the Kachin State Clean and Green Team in the morning on 17th July in Myitkyina.
