Successful Surgeries : Surgeries performed at Yangon Orthopaetic Hospital

The Yangon Orthopedic Hospital under the Treatment Department of the Ministry of Health has successfully performed surgeries on pedicle screws and rods posterior fixation to 12 Scoliosis patients.

The surgeries were conducted from 12th to 16th July by a combined team of the surgeons and specialists from the hospital along with a surgeon from Swiss Spine Foundation. This type of surgery has been performed at the hospital either by the hospital's own surgeons or by inviting foreign surgeons.

Since 2005, over 200 patients have undergone these surgeries with an average of about 12 patients per year, achieving successful outcomes.
