




The Ministry of Home Affairs organized a ceremony on Saturday to honor outstanding students who successfully passed the 2022-2023 matriculation exams. These students are the children of the Ministry's staff, including those from the Ministry Office, units, and departments.
Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Union Minister Lt-Gen Soe Htut made a speech, highlighting that the ceremony is aimed to support students in their educational pursuits, recognize their efforts in achieving excellent results, and inspire the youth who will contribute to the future of the nation.
The ceremony involved the presentation of stipends to the students and honorary awards to the Ministry Office for its responsibility in providing assistance to fallen members and staff through the Ministry's Charity Association as well as for the arrangements to make donations to monasteries across the country.
The Deputy Prime Minister and officials also awarded prizes to outstanding students who achieved distinctions in the matriculation exams. During the 2022-2023 academic year, 383 students passed with distinctions, while 687 passed without distinctions. Furthermore, stipends were distributed for the second time to 2,325 families who have at least three children attending universities.
