Electricity Supply: Electricity restored in Maungtaw Township of Rakhine

The cyclonic storm MOCHA that hit on May 14th destroyed lamp posts, 11 KV electric grid and 400 Volt electric power lines of Maungtaw Township in Rakhine State.

On the morning of 13th July, due to efforts by skillful officers and staff from the Ministry of Electricity, electricity has now been restored in Maungtaw Township through the Maha electricity grid. There are 12 wards and 14 villages in Maungtaw Township and electricity is now being distributed regularly.
