








Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo on Tuesday inspected repair of buildings damaged by the storm ‘MOCHA’ in the compound of the No. 12 Security Police Force in Sittwe Township.
During the inspection, the Union Minister also heard report and coordinated plans. He also inspected the Sittwe Airport, heard report on damage condition and completion of repair works, and stressed the importance of cleanliness of the Airport and surrounding areas.
The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to the Myanma Posts and Telecommunications Office and heard report on completion of restoration of the telecommunications system and repair of buildings and staff housings. There, he also inspected construction of a temporary tower and a new tower.
The Union Minister also inspected the jetty operated by the Myanma Port Authority and the Myanma Economic Bank. Also, he visited the No. 36 Security Police Force, held talks with members of the Police Force and their family members and provided cash assistance.
On the same day, at the Myebon Township General Administration Department Office, the Union Minister held a meeting with the township-level governmental employees, town elders and ward administrators.
During this meeting, he heard report on rehabilitation works after the storm ‘MOCHA’ and distribution of relief aid and called for cooperation for the rehabilitation works and regional development.
The Union Minister also inspected the Myoma Police Station and the Myanma Economic Bank. At the Pauktaw Township General Administration Department Office, he held a meeting with the township-level governmental employees, town elders and ward administrators.
During this meeting, he heard report on rehabilitation works after the storm ‘MOCHA’ and distribution of relief aid. And, the Union Minister stressed provision of agricultural machines and paddy seeds, restoration of telecommunications system and electrification.
