Anti-Corruption Issue: “How to use the public’s feedback program”

The opening ceremony of training course on “how to use the public’s feedback program” jointly organized by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Anti-Corruption Commission was held at the Ministry Office on Monday.

It was attended by Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khaing and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission Dr. Htay Aung.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister delivered an opening speech saying that Myanmar is the 165th member of the UN Convention against Corruption.

The anti-corruption law which is relevant to the government administration mechanism for clean government and good governance systems was promulgated on August 7, 2013 and the law came into effect on September 17.

The Union Minister also said the Ministry has established a Corruption Prevention Team and 3 policies on corruption prevention, and Corruption Prevention Standing Procedures.

And, the Ministry has opened 1 Ministerial Corruption prevention unit, 3 Departmental units and 33 data entry office. Training courses have been opened 6 times including this course for the public feedback program.

She expressed words of thanks to the officials of Anti-corruption commission who will discuss and teach the effective use of the prevention system to prevent the small corruptions to the individual service receivers via telephone with public feedback programme-PFP services in training course.

Also, Chairman of the anti-corruption commission delivered a speech. And, the Director of Prevention division, Department of International Affairs and Prevention of Anti-corruption Commission discussed the using method of PFP Web Portal and related matters.

The training “how to use the public’s feedback program” joined by 61 trainees is set from 10th to 12th July.
