Medical Contribution: 800 oxygen concentrators donated for Myanmar

A total of 800 Oxygen Concentrators worth of 1.2 million USD was donated for the public hospitals and rural health centers under the Ministry of Health on 7th July.

Together with the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, the concerned officials from the ministry and the officials from donor companies Guangon Bolison Technology and Myanamar Royal Fortune were present at the donation event held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

First, founder and CEO Mr. Li Bao Xing from Guangdon Bolison Technology said that the aim of contributing Oxygen Concentrators is for the effective use in health care services which are being carried out by the Ministry and it is a company’s Corporate Social Responsibility for the country Myanmar being existed in the region of “One Belt One Road”.

Next, the donated Oxygen Concentrators were handed over to the Union Minister for Health and relevant officials. In return, the Union Minister presented the certificate of honor to the donor.

Afterwards, the Union Minister expressed works of thanks for such contribution and said that Myanmar faced Oxygen shortage while happening the severe outbreak of COVID-19 in the country and at that time, China had sent medicines and medical equipments including Oxygen Concentrators in fighting against the pandemic.

Especially in successfully overcoming every single waves of the pandemic, the 95 percent of administered COVID-19 vaccine doses in the country are from China’s donation and purchased ones through the Union Budget.

Also, the Oxygen Concentrators are useful not only for COVID-19 but for other diseases that needs oxygen treatment. He continued that such donation is going to lead stronger Pauk-Phaw friendship between Myanmar and China and wished for the donor companies to become more successful.

Also present at the occasion were Directors General from the Minister’s Office, departments of Medical Services, Human Resources for Health, Food and Drug Administration, deputy directors general and concerned officials.
