






The opening ceremony of employment guided training for migrant workers who will be sent to Thailand under MOU was held at the vocational training center in North Dagon Township in Yangon on Tuesday.
It was attended by Union Minister for Labor Dr. Pwint San and gave an opening speech saying that there have been no training services for migrant workers who will be sent to Thailand through licensed employment agencies (Thailand) under MOU in the past.
The purpose of the training is to educate the workers who will be sent to Thailand under the MOU system to understand the language, culture and customs of Thailand, the basis of the law and the do's and don'ts of working in the workplace. He said that the education issues related to the legal transfer of wages of Myanmar workers and the facts that workers should know, and the workers need to take note of it with interest will be included in the training.
Then, the Union Minister and officials inspected the office of issuing OWIC and POEA offices, and met with officials from HRD-Korea and discussed related matters. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Workers’ Hospitals (Yangon) and met with medical superintendent of hospital and staffs at the meeting hall of the hospital.
During the meeting, Union Minister said the needs to make social security project reliable for employees and insurance workers, to increase the health care of insurance workers and to be able to provide quality health services. He also said it is necessary to participate in COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment sector, preparation and maintenance of hospital equipments, prevent medicines from expired and wasted, provide better services and hospital security, and gave necessary assistances. Then, he toured round the hospitals, cordially greeted the outpatients.
